Occupational First Aid
Employers have a duty to provide first-aid materials/equipment at all places of work where working conditions require it. Depending on the size and/or specific hazards of the workplace, trained occupational first aiders must also be provided.
Provides students with ability to recognise and treat the following:
- First aid in the workplace
- Cardiac First Response
- Patient assessment
- Respiratory Emergencies
- Wounds and Bleeding
- Altered level of consciousness
- Musculo-skeletal injuries’
- Burns, scalds and electric shock
Three Days (24 Hours) which can be consecutive or held to suit the participants.
Theoretical Exam and Skills Assessments.
QQI level 5 Certificate in Occupational First Aid, which is in compliance with the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2007.
